Munduk

After some fabulous diving in Amed, we drove north-west, and inland, on the advice of the ever-helpful Travelfish, to relax for a few days in the mountain village of Munduk. We stayed at the charming Karang Sari guesthouse, which has some more modern rooms, and some older, in an old colonial building. The gardens are particularly extensive, beautiful and relaxing.

Munduk was about relaxation and it started with the lovely gardens at our guesthouse.

Munduk village is set along a ridge surrounded by lush rice fields, and plantations of cloves and coffee. There is also a beautiful, serene temple in the village.

From Munduk we headed south to Sanur for a couple of nights, to be closer to the airport for our flight out to Flores. On the way, we stopped at the beautiful temple of Pura Ulun Danau Bratan. There is so much to see on the beautiful island of Bali!
